Irina A. Savvina, MD, PhD., is Professor and a practicing anesthesiologist in the field of neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care with 40 years of experience at the National Almazov Medical Research Centre and Russian Polenov Neurosurgical Institute - the first scientific Institute of Neurosurgery in the world founded in 1926 in Petrograd, Russia; Professor at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimatology, North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, Saint Petersburg. Her expertise spans anesthesiology, neurocritical care, and cerebrovascular disease management. She has published extensively on perioperative management and critical care of patients with neurological conditions, including pediatric patients, and serves as a consultant anesthesiologist at several leading medical centers in Saint Petersburg. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Russian Federation of Anesthesiologists and Reanimatologists in Neurology and Neurosurgery.
